Setting up your personal university account is the first step towards arriving digitally at the university. Your university account gives you access to the university network and your student e-mail address. Our IT introduction will help you with your first steps in IT:

Usually, courses at DIT have a virtual course room on the university's own learning platform iLearn. Here you can find course content and current information, for example. You can log in to iLearn with your university account.
How to find your way around the learning platform is explained here: Video on how to log in to iLearn for the first time.
You will also find help and tips on the topic of "digital teaching" in this iLearn course.
You can also use your university account to log in to the personalised website area my.th-deg.de. This gives you access to your personalised lecture timetable and the most important portals and news for your studies.
Each degree programme is assigned to a specific faculty. Each faculty has its own faculty colour so that you can find your way around more quickly. You can find your faculty on the page for your degree programme.
Your first point of contact for questions about your degree programme is the faculty, usually the programme assistant, the dean's office assistant, the academic advisor or the head of degree programme. You can find the relevant contact person for your degree programme on each faculty page under ‘Functions & Info’.
Here is an overview of all faculties:
You can find your lecture plans for download (as a dynamic PDF or as a calendar subscription) at my.th-deg.de here: Lecture schedules
You can also create your individual timetable for the respective semester in our timetable configurator: Timetable configurator
When you enrol at Deggendorf Institute of Technology, you will receive your student ID card. This not only allows you to officially identify yourself as a student and take advantage of student discounts in shops, for example, but also gives you access to many of the university's services: for example, you can use it to borrow books from the library, pay in the canteen and copy shop or use the student car park.
About a week before the start of the semester, we will send the student ID card by post to newly enrolled students with a German mailing address - to the address you provided when you enrolled. If you move earlier, please set up a forwarding order in good time.
If you are studying at the Pfarrkirchen campus (ECRI) or have given an address abroad, you can pick up your student ID card in person at the Centre for Studies from the start of the semester.
Validation
When your student ID card is validated at the terminal, the current semester dates are printed on it and all functions are activated. You must repeat this process at the beginning of each semester. Your card will usually arrive already validated - so you can use it straight away.
Payment function
To be able to pay with your student card, you must first top it up. You will find top-up machines at the entrances to the canteen and cafeterias.
You can find information and help about your student ID card here: Student ID card
